despite all the exotic (read: prohibitively expensive) marni and margiela shoes i fawn over constantly, i somehow have yet again acquired another pair of hasbeens. well, mostly acquired. they’re sitting in their box, taunting me, daring me to wear them around my dirty house to the point of no return. i wanted a wedge, preferably with a natural-colored wood sole, but most of the shoes i try on are too small (i’m scowling at you loeffler randall) or too wide (faryl robyn), or uncomfortable (marais usa). hasbeens are reliably well made, large enough for my amazonian feet (but not too wide!), and despite being clunky and making me 7 ft tall, easy to walk around in all day. just call me clog lady. you’ll hear me coming.
