so, i’m kind of stagnating right now… the lease has been signed, the sofa has been ordered, most of the furniture has been refinished, and i still have nearly 2 weeks until i can move. you will have to bear with me while i obsessively organize the apartment in my mind. here’s one little corner of the living room taking shape.

1. west elm henry sofa in charcoal herringbone ‘faux suede’ – whatever dude, it’s just a soft polyester fabric. matches my cat. the herringbone is a nice bit of visual interest up close. i won’t have it until late sept/early october, but what can i do…

2. sibyl likes to nest in my pendleton glacier national park 100th anniversary blanket on the sofa, so i imagine said blanket will live on the sofa.

3. i might have blown the gilt credit i had accumulated on some dead little mongolian lambie-poo pillows today. might have. this is theoretical because i am full of pescatarian guilt.

4. now i need a rug. the fabulous shag rug i had is staying with trevor because i couldn’t handle the upkeep (read: pulling chunks of barfed-up chipmunk out of its tangled fibers). (hence the mongolian lamb murder to fill the shaggy void). so i have my eye on some flatwoven rugs, frontrunner among which is this alvine rand rug by ikea, which i will have to smuggle in from canadia because ikea refuses to stock the few things i actually want this side of the border.

i still don’t have a coffee table. i can’t even afford the rug at this point, so the coffee table might end up as a DIY project. stay tuned, i guess?
