omg. guys. just got word i’ll be able to take my first *free* course at cornell (as an employee), which is infinitely more appealing than all the courses i took as a student. i’ll be enrolling in ‘intro to fashion design’ with a bunch of freshman girls. yayz! course description as follows:

intensive study of principles and processes of flat-pattern design with emphasis on creative expression in upscale children’s fashions. through studio projects, students develop an understanding of the techniques needed to produce apparel from technical sketches, flat pattern design processes, and garment assembly.

this is the best news in forever! hopefully in the spring semester i can take another class wherein i will make adult-sized garments. are you excited for me yet?

oh, and happy weekend. i’ll be eating lobster, sailing, you know, the usual. and HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CARRIE, who, in addition to being awesome in general, encouraged me to get myself into this class!
